RESET Logje

RESET Logje is a renovation project of a traditional house located in the village of Logje in the Soča Valley. The project transforms the existing structure into four small apartments designed for slow travel and quiet retreat within the surrounding alpine landscape. The concept of the project is based on the idea of slowing down and reconnecting with the rhythm of the place. Situated between the Nadiža River and the slopes of Mount Stol, the house offers a calm starting point for exploring the valley while also providing spaces where guests can simply pause and rest. The building is organized into four apartments, each with its own character and spatial rhythm. Despite their compact size, the apartments are designed to function as complete living spaces, including a kitchen area, sleeping zone, and small places for rest and reading. The interiors are conceived as simple and warm environments that encourage longer stays and a feeling of being at home rather than temporary accommodation. The design approach focuses on working with the existing structure and preserving the atmosphere of the old house. Natural materials, soft colors, and tactile surfaces create a calm interior palette inspired by the surrounding landscape. Stone walls, wooden elements, and muted green tones reference the forests, river stones, and natural textures of the Soča Valley. The visual identity of the project is inspired by the smooth stones of the Nadiža River, which symbolize balance, patience, and the quiet movement of water through time. These ideas extend from the graphic identity to the spatial atmosphere of the apartments, reinforcing the central philosophy of the project: creating a place where visitors can slow down and reconnect with the landscape. RESET Logje is not conceived as a typical tourist accommodation but as a gentle base for exploring the valley — a place where activity and stillness exist in balance.
